Craving bliss

 Woke up this morning and somehow something was amiss

Was it the heat or a hunger for a face that I could kiss

And then with the dawn it dawned upon

Now that he was gone

Its just me and my thoughts

Let me go back to slumber

Musing it was all a wishful dream

"Oh wait" my heart skipped to say

Curbing a longing that so belonged

Wear a veil of glee and go along

Hiding till it healed strong

Sent a silent prayer to the heavens above

Drape my heart with kindness and love

Because life goes on and so shalt thou.

I hav e picked my pen up after a  good 5 year break. I didn’t realize that being Ms i-don’t-have-time-to-write was going to lead me nowhere. Covid-19 pandemic has led me to pursue every minute habit of mine that I had time and again in every phase of my life, some of them being the simple ones like painting and gardening and reading, others being adventurous (as adventurous you can get while at home) such as cooking (talking about a person who had entered kitchen in her life only to gobble food down!) and playing cards (I wonder why I never learned that before), woke up one day and chopped my hair owing to the lock-down madness, and of course, the gym-freak girl has finally learned to meditate (talk about extremes!!). How many of you are used to watching workout videos? Is it just me or anybody else also feels that the moment you start watching the video your motivation is skyrocketing? You find yourself floating in the clouds and daydreaming about the fit body that you’re going to gift yourself. Oh Snap! One minute into the video and the sense of realization hit you in the face that this isn’t your cup of tea. The rude awakening! The sweet bubble of your dream pops.
